The Jeep has came to its new era of style, pride and performance combination, this year the evolution is putting it steps onto the next level of enhanced production of new vehicle. This car maker is ready to reveal the all new 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 starting its show debut at the New York Auto Show.
Who don’t know the trade mark of Jeep, using the aggressive definition of styling concept mated with the pro-power version applies a new front edge fascia style, with the cover appearance of colored grille and a ventilated roof top. Not only those appearance features but also added with new spotlight comprising LED all weather head light, an exhaust system using double muffler wheeled with four 20-inch strengthen aluminum rims wrapped with Pirelli PZero speed flat rubber.
The outside appearance is not the one which got the touch of improving features but alos the interior cabin is given the revised modification with the suitable performance of Nappa leather/suede sport seats, control you Jeep with a flat-bottom steering wheel, and faux carbon fiber trim.
The speed and acceleration is generated from power plant which is the work of 6.4-liter HEMI V8 which delivers around 465 horsepower (347 kW / 471 PS) within 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) of torque. This number brings the heavy SUV to sprint starting 0-60 mph for only 4.8 seconds, battens 0.25 mile in only 13 seconds and crash the speedometer with the top speed of 155 mph or 250 km/h.
To remain all specification in function, the new SUV is being featured with the latest innovation of adjustable shock breaker, a limited slip rear differential, and a Brembo brake caliper. The price is still a mystery however the Grand Cherokee SRT8 will come to US at medio 2011.
