To celebrate the century anniversary, Chevy is commemorating its birthday by releasing a special edition Z06 Corvette Centennial Edition. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Chevy, the first units of this special edition model will be launched immediately be auctioned this month. Later, the proceeds from this auction will be donated to the foundation Chevy childhood cancer in the United States namely the Austin Hatcher Foundation.
The first model will be fixed to a special badge identification number of “00100″ with Chevy racing car-style graphics and pictorial Louis Chevrolet in the B-pillar. This logo also adorns the cover of sporty Corvette rims and in the center of the wheel. Leather-covered seat headrest also adorned by the logo which fit the theme of this special edition. It is stated that Chevy Corvette Z06 Centennial Edition is appended several advanced technologies in particular. The features are appended to this special edition refers to the Corvette Z07 performance package and based on the type 3LZ, including BOSE audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, along with the adjustable and heated power.
While the head-up display comes home there is a remote memory. Telescopic steering wheel settings are also appended to this Corvette Z06 birthday edition. To highlight the theme of special editions, Chevy Corvette interior lining with leather in some parts, as the upper dashboard, door panels and center console. In addition, Z07 performance package also applied to this model. Among the use of ceramic material of Brembo brakes, Magnetic Ride Control and 19-inch rims in front and 20 inches in the rear wrapped with Michelin high performance tires.
Chevy also features the CFZ package which includes the use of carbon fiber front spoiler lip and at the car roof. The hood is using carbon fiber materials such as another special edition of the Z06-shaped Carbon Edition which is thicker. Unfortunately Chevy did not explain how much the production Corvette Z06 Centennial Edition will be as well as the price.
