VW confirm that they will announce 2012 VW Passat at etroit Motor Show 2011 and this car will be assembled at VW factory in Chattanooga, Tennessee, that special produce for North America market. VW Passat will come with 2.5-liter five-cylinder motor producing 170 horsepower for the entry-level Passat that equipped with 6-speed manual transmission that can make acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds. The top engine that come in this car is 3.6-liter VR6 that produce 280 horsepower and equipped with a standard dual clutch transmission (DSG) that reach 6.5 sedonds from 0 to 60mph.
Other engine is Clean Diesel (TDI) 2.0-liter with catalytic converter oxidation, particulate filter and SCR catalytic converter, a highway fuel economy of 43mpg. This car estimation price at $ 20.000 and will release to the market start from 3rd quarter 2011.
